WESTMINSTER HIGH SPENDING ON LIMOUSINE CARS BUT CUTS CHILDREN CARE

PHILIP HAMMOND
THE NEW
CHANCELLOR
NO AUSTERITY OR CUTS HERE !!!!!

Westminster council came under fire because it spent£ 90,000 on Rolls Royce Silver Seraph last year. A further £30,000 was spent on leasing Audi ASL plus a £11,500 for running the cars.

These luxurious cars, chauffeur driven, cost the council thousands of pounds a year for fuel, congestion charges, insurance and repairs  The cars are available to the Lord Mayor and five Aldermen for hundreds of engagements.

The council also spends thousands of pounds on private Health Care for Senior Staff. This particular privilege should be cut because they have a high enough salary to afford it and if not they have to join the NHS .

At the same time the staffs that look after hundred of children at schools and community centre are planned to lose their jobs to save £152,000 in year 2015/16 and £170,000 next year 2016/17.

The Westminster council will cut a £1.3million overall and also cut the subsidies for working parents for children care.

It will have a great effect on staff that loses their jobs and working parents because the mother will not be able to work having to look after the children.

Again it will have a domino effect. There will be more people unemployed and the less spending money will reflect on Supermarkets, clothing and holidays. Supermarket are already under great pressure caused by austerity and so are the manufacturers having to cut back staff because of the reduce demands.

Can’t the Government see and accept that their politics has a spiral down effect? Despite of it all Chancellor George Osborne already announce that there will be further cuts in the budget March 2016.

David Cameron's mother should campaign for the whole UK to stop cuts and not just for her precious Oxfordshire.

GREAT EXPENSE SCANDAL FROM 2008 STILL EXISTS - Update 4 Feb., 2018

No cutting back there!? !? !? But cuts in the NHS and Welfare.  PM May show your "Equal Society!!!!!! She even granted the MPs a 10 pc rise for 2017.

Update 4 Feb., 2018 -- It shows only one of the Tories and the others are no different. It shows and proves the Expense Scandal still exists. It is also the reason for them to stick together because if Labour comes in their gravy train would grind to a standstill immediately. The same goes for all the fatcats.  NO CUTS -- NO AUSTERITY THERE.

In 2008 a great expense scandal broke lose where MPs claimed either excessive sums of money or for work like a duck house in their garden or cleaning out a moat. The claims were so outrages or ludicrous that it shook the foundation of the House of Commons.

Voters could not belief their MPs would rip them off to such an extent and at the same time voted themselves a payrise of 10 per cent every year.

A promise was made after the explosive discovery that such grant fiddle will never happen and books will stay open and transparent.

However, looking back nothing has changed. MPs are still claiming incredible sums for dining and entertaining MPs or foreign visitors like the Speaker of the House, Mr Bercow or MPs using chauffeur driven limousine for a trip just down the road or one MP to be taken to the theatre making it wait for four hours while she watch an opera.

MPs voted to abandon the practice for the Speaker naming a MP who has been arrested for fraud or other crimes.

It seems that the cover is being drawn across again and the promise of transparency conveniently forgotten. Despite of several scandals of high expense claims made headlines in the press.

Expense Scandal seems like a volcano. At the moment it is quietly retreating into the murky dark corner of Westminster. Now and then a little blob occurs of some MP overspends again while it starts building up the pressure. Then there will be another explosion.

Yet at the time of the explosion it is revealed that the Expense Scandal had been going on for years despite of the Audit Department going through every year. There are other departments there purely to watch that the expenses are not getting out of hand and we still hear of Expense Scandals like a dinner costing £2,000 for Mr Bercow; £250 for a chauffeur driven limousine to the Opera House; £250 for a chauffeur driven limousine to be taken to a dinner at Buckingham Palace, waiting and taken back home..

There seems be no moral of spending taxpayers’ money while over 1,000 food banks are across the country to keep people from starvation.

BREMAIN LETTER FROM THE UK GOVERNMENT - Update 19 March, 2016

UPDATE: 19 March, 2016

A report from the Government warns people that it would costs £6,400 for every family to exit the EU. Another scaremongering?

In my opinion it would be one payment  only while the EU membership payments would continue at £19billion a year plus the continuous demands of other extra payment from Brussels.

The latest is a demand for £500million to Turkey to compensate for the refugee crisis there. Altogether Turkey will receive £4,2billion divided amongst EU members

Why is Brussels not closing its border like Australia and USA? Is it another money spinner for Brussels?

A letter was sent to all UK chief executives urging them to sign it to remain in the EU. It was written by 10 Downing Street pointing out it will risks job loses, trade and safety for Britain.

Corporation like BT, Marks and Spencer, Vodafone, Heathrow airport, BAE, Easyjet and BP signed amongst 36 out of the 100 registered in FTSE.

Other bosses are of the opinion it is not their place to tell the public how to vote Ladbroke, Persimmons, Intercontinental Hotels, Barclays and Provident Financial.

Regarding the scaremongering of losing the EU Market it has to be pointed out that Britain is a long standing World Trader and therefore it is doubtful it will be a great trade collapse as forecast.

Richard Tice, co-founder of LEAVE-EU said:” Downing Street has admitted using taxpayers’ money (how else) and ‘applying pressure’ on FTSE chairmen and chief executives to sign the letter.”

The letter stated: “PM had secured a commitment from the EU to reduce the burden or regulation, deepen the single market and to sign-off crucial intern trade deals.”

The signatories added: “Business needs unrestricted access to the Europe market of 500 million people in order to continue to grow, invest and create jobs. Britain will be strong, safer and better off remaining a member of the EU.”

The arguments against these statements are – Have not seen any of it so far on the contrary the job losses are by the thousands although the Government white-washing the number by Zero-hours contracts and various other methods. The people still remain unemployed.

Where was the EU when the British Steel industry collapsed? Reportedly Mr Cameron could have got a grant from the EU (or did he get one) but went to China instead and signed a contract for two Nuclear Power Stations.

Germany, France and Italy stopped cheap import of Chinese Steel to safe their steel industries and got a grant from the EU.

Regarding being safer – Britain got involved in an unprecedented migration crisis because of the EU open border policies and even now the EU will not close their border around Europe

European Court of Human Rights running British Law in the UK

The endless red-tapes almost suffocate UK businesses; regulation ruined fishing industry because of their quotas from Brussels. If it is over the quota the fishermen have to throw overboard dead fish. Does that make sense?

UK fisher boats stay in the harbour because having fished their quota while French, Dutch, Danish and Iceland fishing in UK’s waters Does that make sense?

Britain was always a big free trade nation but now the EU rules over it. Over the decades Brussels was introducing one regulation after another and by now runs the trade, law and immigration.

No doubt in the background is the USA which wants a United Europe and eventually to dominate it. Mr Obama is not visiting the UK for nothing and it has already been announced to persuade the public to vote “yes” for EU membership to be continued.

The EU Membership costs the British public £350million a week.  The NHS would be well financed. People would have jobs if invested in factories and it would stop homelessness plus reduce the cost of Welfare.

Mr Cameron is running around to receive a convincing new agreement with the EU and convince the public to vote to stay in the EU.

Brussels already announced that any agreement can be ripped-up at any times.  In other words if the public voted to stay in the EU the agreement can or would be torn-up.

There is also the EU promise for more regulation will be issued, plans for a closer union, and the Government will have no power over its borders or Law.

Why is Mr Cameron kidding himself and the public?

The other point which Mr Cameron is using the Pound dropping in value against the dollar. The facts are the FTSE 100 is dropping drastically every day since his election and virtually no sign of his election promise of a better economy.  Another broken promise.

TORIES BETRAY THEIR PEOPLE Update 20 Nov.,2019

Update 20 Nov., 2019 - UK will have a General Election on 12 Dec., 2019 because Johnson was forced, by Court, to extent Brexit till 31 Jan., 2020 which took the no-deal-Brexit off the table and Labour agreed to a GE. Johnson gets booed on his GE campaign trail while Corbyn draws massive crowds.

Lets hope Johnson and Murdoch do not do a dirty trick to win again because it would mean a TTIP and sale of NHS to the USA. After that UK would be nothing but a colony of America.

Murdoch, according to reports, controlled every GE since Thatcher which they won and devastated the country every time. Murdoch also controlled Blair's GE victory.

Update 26 Oct., 2019 - Boris Johnson elected by his MPs and a PM since July 2019. exPM T May had to resign. Johnson created more disastrous decisions re Brexit and by now it completely grinded to a standstill. He demanded a General Election but Labour refused unless he takes the disastrous no-deal-Brexit off which he refuses.

Update 12 Jan., 2017  --
David Cameron resigned and Theresa May, Home Secr., is now Prime Minister. Although she was there only six months but nevertheless she could and should have done something drastic about the NHS. The NHS is now at such a stage that the Red Cross had to get involved.

When confronted at Parliament she denied it like  Cameron denied the starvation and homelessness he created with austerity and Welfare cuts.

Therefore PM May is none the better.

Mr Cameron has a long string of betraying Britain and his people by giving constantly jobs away to overseas bidder.

It is not only the British Steel industry which he callously betrayed by not nationalise it or support it financially to secure the jobs or now agreeing to an import tariff increase which even the EU suggested.  He opposed it. The result was a 6,000 jobs loss in the last 6 months

TATA India's Steel Giant decided now to sell the UK steel branch because it made £2million loss a day.  Mr Cameron still refuses to nationalise British Steel and let cold bloodedly 40,000 steel workers lose their jobs. Even if TATA finds a buyer they still will reduce work force to cut losses and increase profit. It also has an impact on the local economy.

In 2011 Germany Siemens won the £1.6billion contract to manufacture the train carriages for the Thameslink route. England’s last train manufacturer Bombardier fought hard for it to survive but was beaten due to Mr Cameron’s Conservatives. There were great protests across the country to support Bombardier but to no avail.

In 2012 the Royal Navy gave a £452million contract to South Korean company Daewoo to built four new fuel tankers. The  37,000-tonne Military Afloat Reach and Sustainability vessels make it possible for the Royal Navy to refuel at sea. Ministry of Defence white-washed it that although UK companies took part in the tender for the work but did not make a final bid.  Daewoo must have given such a low tender that the UK companies knew they could not undercut it.

The problems with tenders are they can give a very low cost figure and in 99.9 per cent the real costs are double or treble as the work progress. It does not seem to register with the government that the costs could not be real and to give the work to UK companies instead of foreign companies which costs will rise to the same anyway.
There was a great protest in 2013 when it was discovered that Army uniforms were produced in Britain worth £5million but the main bulk of £75million were produced in India, China and Eastern Europe.

A further scandal was discovered by Labour peer and retired Royal Navy Admiral Lord West. The Prime Minister announced a £3.5billion order for 589 Scout Specialist Vehicles in 2014 at the high profile NATO summit at Celtic Manor, near Newport, South Wales.  He promised at the time it will secure 1.500 jobs across the UK.

When it came to it it was a different story. David Cameron gave 40 per cent to overseas firms.  General Dynamics UK beat its rival UK firm BAE systems.  General Dynamics registered in the UK but it International Dynamics firm is based in Virginia, USA.  Lord West also feared that the production of Scout Specialist Vehicles could be open to terrorism and sabotage.

The first vehicles are expected to be delivered in 2017.

TORIES OPPOSED EU HIGHER IMPORT TARIFF ON CHINESE STEEL update 29 Nov., 2019

Update 29 Nov., 2019 - TATA which purchased British Steel, when it was in trouble because of mismanagement and Tories' refusal to nationalise it, is sacking 1,000 staff.

IF THAT IS NOT A SELL OUT OF BRITISH STEEL AND THE PEOPLE, WHAT IS?

Update 15 Oct., 2016 -- EU now imposed a 75 per cent tax on Chinese Steel.  Aren't the Tories great politicians? Wonder what they got out of it to agree to Hinkley to built and MG Rover to be moved to China while British Steel closes ?

Update 29 Sept, 2016 -- The new PM Theresa May made no change to Cameron's policies. She visited China to assured them that the Hinkley Nuclear Plant will be built by China using their steel - 80,000 tons - which could have saved British Steel.

UPDATE  Thanks to the great politics of Mr Cameron and his Tory Party the Tata company which runs the UK steel industry planning to cut further 1,000 steel workers in North England  and 750 steel workers in Talbot. At this moment the Indian steel manufacturer Tata holding a meeting in Mumbai, India and deciding over the future of British Steel  Workers.

It is unbelievable that the Tories prevented the EU to drastically increase  the import tariffs on Chinese Steel.

It is obvious that the Prime Minister David Cameron is not looking after his people and prevents job losses.  If that is his attitude than he should resign or made to because its his job. Times are too desperately hard for the people in the North, Midlands and Wales for having to accept it.

In the last 6 months over 6,000 steel workers lost their jobs. For the older workers who gave a life long dedication to a very dangerous job which will be impossible to find work again.

Fellow Labour MP Tom Blenkinsop added: “It is utterly despicable for Cameron to say that in any way shape or form that he is supporting the steel industry if his government actually blocked attempts at a Europe level to place tariffs at a far higher rate on steel dumping nations like China.

“According to calculation the tariff should be more like 66 per cent not 9 percent. The EU committee wants to change things so we can up the potential tariff from 9 percent to something higher, and the UK government is most definitely ringleader amongst EU nations opposed this.”

When Mr Cameron was quizzed at PMQ by Labour MP Nic Dakin the PM replied: “We have repeatedly stood up for UK steel, including support taking anti-dump measures in the EU. But that’s not enough.”

The PM had done nothing and not even asked the EU for financial support because his refund would have been reduced. On the contrary he invited China’ president, signed a contract to built two nuclear power-stations which nobody wanted and most probably with China steel. To insult the steel workers even further he called it “Begin of a Golden Era.”

Mr Cameron goes on: “We also need to get behind reducing energy bills for steel and that’s what we’re doing. We need to support communities like his own that have seen jobs loss and that's what we are doing.”

That should have been done years ago when the big energy suppliers increased their rates drastically. He was foxing around again the main issue to answer the question. If he was serious about a support of the British Steel industry he would have supported the EU to increase it up to 66 per cent.

At first when the cracks appeared he did not lift a finger while Italy, France and Germany nationalised their steel industry to save guard it.

USA increased their steel import to 66 per cent while David Cameron gives another empty answer to the important question.

Now the last part of Mr Cameron’s answer: “We recognize what a vital part Britain’s industrial base the steel industry is and that’s why we’re backing it.”  ??????

Mr Cameron please speak the truth; you are backing the Chinese steel industry and give a dam about the steel workers losing their jobs. As you stated it is the beginning of a Golden Era but not for the British steel industry and not for the workers.

It is history repeating itself; like the coal and shipbuilding industry your great friend Thatcher destroyed it so do you now destroy the steel industry.

It seems the Tory party has no limit in what they are doing to Britain.

These men have been for two or three generation working hard, dedicated, proud of their job and loyal and Mr Cameron never lifted a finger to save their job.  Some of them were working for 20 or 30 years and now they just get kicked out by their own Prime Minister who could not care less.

Just like the miners which had the worst and most dangerous jobs. They even put up a horrendous fight to keep their job because they knew what it means for their families.

But Margaret Thatcher used all her dirty tricks to break them. She used the Police Officers even from other counties which is against the Law.

Coal is and was also imported from China because it is cheaper.

That is the truth but not at Tory’s Head Quarters

CHANCELLOR GEORGE OSBORNE CUTS STUDENT MEDICAL GRANTS Update 20 Oct., 2017

Update 20 Oct., 2017

But May will not re-instate it, will she? She offered generously a £9,000 loan which means with interests repayments while the Government gets that money with no interest from the Bank of England.

Mr Osborne has his knife out again and plans to cut grants for students training to be doctors or dentists. It will, again, only hit the poorer students who rely on grants to achieve their dreams.

In November he cut funding for nurses in his budget.

Paul Blaylock, chairman of the British Dental Association student committee stated:”If funding is cut for student dentists, the government will shut talented young people out of the dental profession.

“”These bursaries represent a lifeline for some student.”

Already a typical dental graduate could expect to find themselves with over £60,000 of debt.

Mr Osborne also plans to change nurse bursaries in the coming week and replaces them with loans. Would that not involve interest charges so the banks or Treachery will have another income? It is all right for him to swing the axe on lesser unfortunate people who try to better themselves.

He comes from a very rich family plus landed a Chancellor Job without having to struggle for it for years in a study and at the end he inherits his father’s title and estate again without struggle and having to train for it for years with financial hardship.

It is known that he and his friends were members of Bullingdon Club and when it suits them they smashed it up because daddy will pay for it. Any lesser fortunate student would have over the moon to be at Oxford and studied hard.

As the saying goes: “You can take the boys out of the Bullingdon Club but you cannot take the Bullingdon Club out of the boys.”

This Tory Government is trying hard to keep the plebs down in a working class and then cutting every penny they earn. Where is that big talk of Mr Cameron to care for hard-working people and the government is there to help them to better themselves?

It is assumed that after having dealt with cutting nurses bursaries he will then concentrate on cutting funding for medical students

Medical student’s tuitions are paid from year five by the NHS Student Bursary Scheme. Before that the student has to go through a means-tested grant for maintenance costs.
At the moment the Department of Health denied the cut of student bursary but time will tell.

A spokesman defended the plans to cut student nurse funding and save £826million a year. “Two-third of people applying to be nurses will not be accepted. Only 10,000 training places will be provided.”

It is also a fact that the NHS is short of nurses and doctors. The situation will not improve if there are less doctors and nurses trained but it will not affect the Tory Government because they have their private doctors and all paid by the taxpayers.

PM David Cameron No Great Deal from EU

EU already announced if Britain wants to leave it can which shows they will not give any substantial concessions which was expected from the beginning.

They also stated that they can undo any deal at any time. How much louder does Mr Cameron need to be told?

Therefore, Mr Cameron can save all his time and our expenses.

EU could not care less and is in decline anyway. Who is Mr Cameron kidding? Only himself..

What kind of a deal is that?

The EU agreed to the UK restriction of benefits for four years for in-work migrant workers but it has now to be agreed by the 27 EU countries.

Further, the deal is on a promise that the loss of benefits will be gradually increased by Tax Credit.

Mr Cameron will now persuade the 27 countries to sign the deal during the 18-19 February summit.

The EU or Mr Cameron could play along to get him his deal and after the referendum tear it up. The best deal is to get out of the EU.

First of all there are too many ifs and buts.

Secondly why should a country begging and pleading at Brussels for changing the rules for migrants while Mr Cameron and Chancellor George Osborne cuts £12 billions Welfare off its citizens without approval from Brussels?

Thirdly this ‘deal, which is not any deal whatsoever, costs the hard-up taxpayers a fortune for Mr Cameron hopping around Europe for a week and has to go for two more days to Strasbourg to the EU summit on 18-19 February 2016.
.
Even if the 27 countries agree to it it still adds up to the same amount at the end of the four years. Mr Cameron has to promise the loss of benefits for migrant’s workers will be replaced by Tax Credit and Mr Cameron tries to impress the public with a deal like that.  Does he really think people are that stupid?

Besides those points there are still too many rules from Brussels which are nothing but hampering and distructive.  Businesses drowning with red tapes, fishing quotas which make the fishermen throw back dead fish by the hundred weights back into the sea because they are over the quota. Other fishing vessels happily drawling in UK’s water fishing while the UK’s boats are stopped.

Human Rights Court in Strasbourg is ruling British Law.
UK’s borders are open without restriction and it will only take time for a Paris or Germany disaster to happen. EU will not close its borders despite headlines showing over one million migrants; a tear despite of records showing a majority are from Morocco, Algiers but war torn countries like Syria.

The gravy train in Brussels costs not only hard-up but starving people in the UK at least £19billion a year while the MEPs use limousine taxis travelling from town to town.

If you think about the blown up government of 650 MPs, 820 Peers, Councils and now newly introduced Mayors of every town plus with each a staff; then comes on top of it the over 1,000 Euro MPs plus a huge staff and all off taxpayers’ hard earned money not the big corporations paid taxes, which they don’t.

All what the people get is now another £12billion Welfare cut on top of austerity and £16billion for councils to cut services.

Why is David Cameron so determined and bent-over-backwards to stay in the EU? It must be some gain for him because he also will not give his MPs a free vote in the referendum which could swing it to a no Brexit since they have the majority at the moment. The same happened at the vote for air strikes in Syria It might have been a different picture.

Mr Cameron is the most calculating person when it comes to get his will.

He did not approach the EU to help to rescue the British Steel industry or nationalise it like France, Italy and Germany which also restricted the Chinese import of cheap steel..

As the Daily Express stated “The only good thing came out of it is a referendum” Hopefully the people of Britain use it well. Even The Sun’s headlines are “Who do you kidding Mr Cameron”. A paper making out they are for the working class but supporting the Tories. The only paper was the Financial Times which praises Mr Cameron’s deal. For being the Financial Times it is a shocking statement.
