BBC IN TAX DODGING SCANDAL-- Updated 15 March 2013

BBC IN LONDON, ENGLAND
UPDATE:  15 March 2013 -- Again as always the scandal was announced for a few days and then pushed aside by new news. We, the public, has not heard anything further whether the tax dodgers had been made to pay up. David Cameron gave many speeches about tax dodgers and promises he will get tough but did he with the BBC's who are on the door step. Surely it would amount to a great amount and reduce the deficit.

According to reports the BBC has 124 celebrities paid as freelancers although they worked there for years and have a show or broadcast continuously.

They using a Personal Service Company which means they are not taxed as individuals. This also includes non-payment of National Insurance by the employer as well as employee.

==================================================

PLEASE BE SO KIND AND CLICK ONA DVERTS.  THANK YOU.
==================================================

Therefore a one million income has to pay a tax of 45 per cent provided they don’t send it to a tax haven which is another story to close. In the regulation BBC promised to introduce they will have to pay 13.8 per cent national insurance or £138,000. Furthermore, the BBC will also have to pay employee national insurance and income tax. Al in all it would reduce the net payment to £430,000 which is still more than enough for one person’s income.

Can David Cameron and the government honestly and truly state they didn’t know about this? Never mind of blaming it on Labour again because by now they are long enough in to change the rules. This other point is that a payment of £138,000 national insurance and this is just from one person would have helped the NHS enormously and therefore no redundancy would not have been necessary.

Mr Cameron and his Chancellor are too busy to cut ordinary people’s benefits and forever shouting Austerity instead of looking around where they should have the money got from. Mr Cameron also was mentioning, a few months ago, that there is a £90billion stashed away in tax havens. It is a too great amount of money lost to the country. What has he done about it?

Apparently 469 of the BBC stars using the Personal Service Company. Of course, not everyone earns a million dollars but nevertheless it is a lot of money lost to the country every year and especially to the NHS. How can they be so callous seeing the struggle because of the economy?  According to the quotation as above to receive £430,000 instead of one million is more than privileged and they should be more than pleased.

The BBC promised to look into the freelancers they use and review their employment contract. It was also said that the BBC themselves advised the freelancers to use the PSC which doesn’t show them in a better light. However, don’t take this as Gospel because it was already stated that only 131 staff will be OFFERED, not made to take, a staff contract IN THE NEAR FUTURE. Whatever that means is as good a guess as any?

Even if it comes to it a 131 staff out 469 who uses the PSC is not exactly putting wrongs to rights. They also promised not to increase the TV licence fee if or when they give staff contracts but they have already done it. The fee was increased to £145. The TV licence, so we were told, is necessary because the BBC is not running adverts but for years now they do and therefore they should have abolished the fee years ago.

All these false promises which will never be fulfilled are like David Cameron and the government apart from the promises to cut any benefits.

TAX AVOIDANCE AT OLYMPICS, LONDON 2012 -- Updated 10 March 2014

UPDATE: 10 March 2014  --  The Prime Minister and his friend the Chancellor always shouting about to bring the National debts down but let grandiosely the Olympics 2012 was off paying tax.

This, again, shows how David Cameron looks after his boys and has no serious intention of reducing the debts. Now and then David Cameron holds a big speech about roping in the tax avoiders who have their accounts in tax havens. At the same time he announced any sponsor will be treated as offshore.

Tax avoidance is not always the same story for the top boys. A report revealed that Olympic sponsors avoid paying taxes up to £600million since it will be treated as offshore during the Games.

Let’s faces it  the so-called sponsors make a multi-million business on the games there is no need to add tax avoidance. Especially since UK PM David Cameron made several speeches stating he is totally against it.

Doesn’t that show a double standard?

To crown it all the Government had new Revenue and Custom rules added  after the Team GB’s winning bid. Therefore, “corporate partners” like Coca-Cola, McDonald and Visa have a temporary exemption from corporation tax as “non-resident” companies. How can they be classed as non-resident companies when they have offices all over the UK?  This new ruling enables them not to pay taxes form March 30 to November 8.

Furthermore, the new rules are also extended to foreign employees working for the firms and they do not have to pay income tax in the UK.

Wow, this is absolute incredible since the PM David Cameron axing the Police, Armed Forces, doctors, and Nurses who gave him nothing but loyal service and it is to “save” and bring the deficit down. There is also the other point again how quickly these new rules were put into place, Yet a new rule of cutting bonuses and overpaid salaries of banking and City boys is drugging on without any hope of being put through.

Author Tim Hunt said: “The real winner in the London Olympics is those companies who stand to make millions out of the greatest sporting event in the world.”

The same report also stated the London Organising Committee’s (LOCOG) own tax concessions account for a further £100min lost tax. It means a loss of £100m for the treachery.

Therefore Mr Cameron should never criticise anybody before sitting down and think and look at these facts.  The Treasury also contempt ordinary people paying cash-in-hand which avoids tax or VAT.  The Treasury and Mr Cameron should go after these people of top companies and rope them in. To criticise and at the same time knowing very well there were special rules arranged for big companies to enable them to avoid tax is not only incredible is ludicrous knowing very well them and their friends are the worst offenders.

£20TRILLION -- NOW £36TRILLION IN TAX HAVENS 2012 Updated 6 August, 2020

Update 6 August, 2020
Since Boris Johnson is the new PM there is very little information on many subjects leave alone about fortune in Tax Haven.
However, to be sure, it has doubled and trebled.
One small report stated that during Pandemic there were fortunes made. It is no surprise since Chancellor borrows £blns for various funds but there is nothing to be seen off.
Funds for PPE, Ventilators, test, track and trace, NHS, were all contracted out with no or very little results.
Is it the contractors who are cashing in at a worst time with 60,000 death so far? We will never know the true facts because by now the Free Press and Information hardly exist any more.

Update 31 March, 2017

It is now assumed that Tax Havens could have as much as a staggering £90trillion. Even to retrieve half of the previously £36trillion would cancel the national deficit, rescue NHS, schools, cancel poverty, starvation and homelessness. What is the use to have these huge amount of money sitting there?

Updated 6 Nov., 2016 --
The new PM Theresa May already spoke about prosecuting Tax Avoiders but will it be another empty promise. After all the big ones are mostly Tory's donors and the money is mostly in British Isles.

It most probably almost doubled or even trebled again by now and David Cameron still keeps promising, since 2010.

If Prime Minister David Cameron and Chancellor George Osborne would bring back only half the amount which is in Tax Haven it would wipe out the debts of Britain and show a great improvement in the economy and live of the people.

The Fatcats would still have enough besides there are mostly their friends so what keeps Cameron from not to fulfil his promise to get firm with Tax Avoiders. It is because they are his friends and they would stop donate to Tory's coffers.  He let them take out £16trillion within two years and Osborne shouting about more Austerity and cut backs.  What about Austerity where it should be enforced?

AND THERE IS MORE

UPDATE:   23 November, 2014  --  The quoted £20trillion was in 2012 now with the great jump shown in the Telegraph Rich List it is nearing to £36trillion. Chancellor George Osborne announced that a new law will be passed through the House of Parliament. It will prosecute any Tax Avoiders who had deliberate avoided to pay tax.  This new law seems to have too many back doors. Beside tax avoidance was always a criminal offence.  Where is the difference apart from trying to look impressive.

UPDATE: 9 December 2012  --  So far it is known that the Treasury prosecuted only one person of tax evasion out of 6000 cases. The public demands to name and shame them but the Treasury refuses to give the list of names, giving the excuse of privacy of taxpayers. These people are not tax payers but tax avoiders and therefore should not have the protection. PM David Cameron himself condemns it yet he does nothing about it. WHY? If the Treasury can prosecute one person they can do so the rest of 5,999 cases.

UPDATE 3 OCTOBER 2012 --  Has this government attempt to retrieve it since they revealed it themselves that there are £20trillion in tax havens? Surely everybody knows the answer.

A new research did find that the Super-Rich Global Elite have banked £20trillion in tax havens. No doubt there could be more which had not been discovered or accounted for.

Since the Prime Minister David Cameron had contempt the tax havens and people who using it will he stand by his words to bring them back to justice?

James Henry, who compiled the numbers for the Tax Justice Network, said: “The lost tax revenues are huge and enough to make a significant difference to the finance of many countries.”

He also discovered that the cash was moved around through an “industrious bevy of professional enablers”.  That man must be genius to be able to trace this money because these are highly professionals in every way.
It is now down to the Prime Minister to use this information especially since he brought in a new law of Tax Avoidance Clampdown. It was launched by Treachery Minister David Gauke. It had been linked to a Tory donor who was ordered to pay up £2million.

Another case was Hedge fund boss George Robinson who was ordered to pay his taxes on a Guernsey-based trust. He set it up but the judge ruled it was artificial

Well so far so good but will they pay up and only being ordered as it is the fashion of those big boys? Also will it be carried on and out sufficiently and not after a while slump into the back ground to be forgotten quietly? It seems the way when the big boys are up against it.  The same with the Libo interest fiddle which wasn’t a fiddle really but a fraudulent crime. When details start to emerge that even the Bank of England knew about it four years ago it died a sudden death because there would have been people in the top tree come to a fall. Under pressure the Prime Minister eventually agreed to an investigation but banned the two hardest inquisitors.  W H Y?

Your thoughts and answers are as good as anybodies.

Nothing been heard of as it is the usual case.  The Prime Minister and the government has all the power in their hands to make them pay the outstanding tax back since there is prison for TAX EVASION. They imprison others well known people so why not retrieve £20 TRILLION?

UK PM CONTEMPT FOR TAX HAVENS - Updated 3 April,2017

Update 3 April, 2017 New PM May also made great announcements that she will retrieve Taxes from Tax Havens. So far it is estimated it had risen to approx. £90trillion during the last 16 years of Tory's rules. Evidence for another lie.

UPDATE: 26 February, 2015 - Now we can look back and see how much the courageous Prime Minister David Cameron and his crew retrieved. Have a guess.  Tax havens deposits have increased from £20trillion to £39trillion.  He has worked hard to retrieve money? It should have been easy because all Tax haven are British Isles.

UPDATE:  11 December 2013 - Already, announcements were made in the press that the government was not able to retrieve as much as they thought of the money put away in tax haven. The answer to this is that they most properly be all friends of the Conservative Party. Mr Cameron should not have shouted about it but first retrieved taxes and then shout about it. Furthermore his own father-in-law Viscount Astor has an account in Holland.  Mr Cameron could start there and being family would be easier to persuade Viscount Astor to return the unpaid taxes. How dare you laugh? What Cameron will not achieved this? You will be surprised.

You could laugh if it were not so despicable. Mr Cameron criticised several singers and entertainers for moving their money to tax havens. What about the BBC which advises its high earning celebrities to move their money into tax haven

Altogether there were about 1000 people whose earnings added up to £480,000 and it was moved to tax havens which is totally wrong and everyone would agree on that point. One of them is Gary Barlow who has received an OBE but the main point here is that Mr Barlow was a celebrity backer in the 2010 election. Aha, I hear you say another one of Mr Cameron’s wrongly chosen friends.

Furthermore, Mr Cameron and his ministers emphasized several times during their election campaign that they cracked down on Tax avoidance.

Being confronted with these points at the Mexican summit Mr Cameron replied: “I have had time to read the Jimmy Carr scheme and it looks like straight forward tax avoidance.

“There is nothing wrong with people planning their tax affairs to invest in pension. But some of these schemes are quite frankly morally wrong.” According to his words of nothing being wrong with putting their money into pension at a tax haven such as Jersey would not; it follows on of ordinary people also be entitled to do the same. The taxes would accumulate at quite a rate and they receive a really good pension.

Mr Cameron also told the ITV News: “It is not fair for hard working people who pay their taxes to see these sorts of scams.” A very good answer but why were not these tax havens closed a long time ago. He does speak about his friends who are all top earners and big donors to the Conservative Party. It has been an open secret for a long time that most of the top earners move their money into tax heavens.  Was that the reason why Mr Cameron and his ministers did not follow through their pledge to stop it?

A very fine example and close to Mr Cameron was his own father. Apparently he used offshore investments and made a family fortune, officially £10million. He set up funds in tax havens such as Panama City and Geneva and according to rumours he spoke often about it that they remain outside the tax jurisdiction of the UK.  It is perfectly legal since the Great Margaret Thatcher done another awful thing to Britain and scrapped capital control in 1979. Ian Cameron, father of David Cameron, took advantage that any sum can be taken out of the country without being taxed.

There you are now with so many points contradicting Mr Cameron brave words and his pledge to close the tax havens. Surely he is aware that if he would do it there would be no donations or very little to the Conservative Party and the end of his reign would be near. So why promise?
