TORIES SOLD OUT BRITISH STEEL TO CHINA

Boris Johnson is PM since July 2019. Despite the hard work of the Union put in all these years British Steel is now being sold to China. China is the main reason for getting British Steel into trouble because of their tariffs. EU wanted to put higher tariffs on Chinese Steel Imports but Cameron PM at that time refused and stopped EU. Now BS gets sold to China. That's CONservative Politic because its more profitable for their own pocket.

If Cameron, May and Johnson would ha Nationalised it like Germany, France and Italy it not have got into financial difficulties but the CEOs would not have earned £m nor shareholders.

MICHAEL FALLON
DEFENCE SECRETARY
Update 14 Dec., 2016 -- Whatever your opinion may be about the Union but it was the Union who managed to save the British Steel industry and with it 6.000 jobs. Whereas ex-PM David Cameron and new PM May did, put it commonly, "bugger all". If the Union managed to achieve an agreement they could have if they wanted to but the deal with China must have been more lucrative to them. A sell-out of the highest order by the Tories and a great "Thank you" to the Union.

Cameron even refused to sign the EU proposal of a high import tax for Chinese Steel. That's how much he cared. Even the EU is still reeling about it because they cannot implement it unless all 28 members agree. They now sidestepping the UK and put it up without the UK.

Everybody knows the steel and car industry is the backbone of the economy yet the Tories calmly sell out British Steel by buying steel from other countries. There must be a real reason behind it for them to do it. Guess!

Ministers are not answering whether British Steel will be used to build the Royal Navy's new Type 26 frigates. Our guess is as good as any.

Labour MP Stephen Doughty said: "The Tories are still failing to deliver on commitments to use British made steel in key defence proposals.

"It is vital the new frigates use high quality British steel. To do otherwise would betray our national interest, our steelworkers and an industry facing huge challenges."

When Sir Michael Fallon, Defence Secretary, pressed the button to cut the first steel for the Dreadnought class Trident subs it was imported from France. It was also revealed that French steel will be used for the hulls.

French Steel works were also in trouble because of the low priced Chinese steel import. They nationalised their steel works and therefore UK Government pays French Government for their steel.

General Secretary of the Community steel-workers' union Roy Rickhuss said: "It is vital the Government gets the procurement of steel for the frigates right.

"Ensuring UK steel is used in major projects would show we've finally got  a strategy to Save Our Steel."

It is no big guess where the steel will come from since the first steel came from France.

British Steel would not have a crisis if the Government would use it instead of foreign steel.

Around 4,000 tonnes of South Korean steel would be used for the Royal Fleet Auxiliary refuelling tankers.

Of the 82,000 tonnes of steel bought for the two giant Queen Elizaberh aircraft carriers; 4,500 tonnes has come from Turkey and 500 tonnes from Spain. Was the rest British Steel?

The contract PM May signed with China to built two nuclear Power Station, which nobody wants, 80,000 tonnes of steel are going to be  used. The French company EDF which is again French Government will build it.

Another massive steel production and jobs loss thanks to theTories.

Yet PM May claims the Tories are not the nasty party and they are all for the people's welfare. Well, we saw it the last six years and so far no change visible. As the saying goes "Deeds speak louder than words".

It turns your brain to think a Prime Minister can stand there and give such a statement while only a few weeks she signed contracts selling out British Steel and does not give a damn about the steel workers  losing their jobs.

IN JUNE 2013 ALONE £2BILLION FUEL TAX FOR THE TREASURY -- Updated 11 Feb., 2015

UPDATE: 11 February 2015 -- Petrol prices have dropped but the Treasury is still getting their full share of around £2billion a month. It would not be surprising, if the Tories win the petrol prices will go up again, like a rocket. It would not be a surprise all this sudden drop of crude oil price is for the benefit of a Tory win. Through their bankers, financiers and Bilderberg they have a long reach.  As for the oil producers it will not make any difference if they reduce it for a year. They got more than enough money sitting about.

UPDATE: 7 February 2014 -- At the moment the petrol prices are reduced by around £0.10 which gives the car owners a great relief but is amazing that all of sudden it can be done in spite of the Chancellor threaten, last September, to put a tax rise of 5p on it. Has it anything to do with the general election coming up in 2015? Hopefully voters do not fall for all the promises the second time; promises in 2010 which none had been fulfilled. What a con!

UPDATE:  20 August 2013 - A news report stated the motorist is to be warned there is 5p per litre tax rise on the way and will be in force before the end of next month. The Petrol Retailer Association gives the reason of rising cost of crude oil and the unrest in Egypt and Syria. The increase would bring the cost of petrol close to 145 which will hit hard with all the other increases of 10 per cent on energy supplies and railways. Now only the postage which is always increased before Christmas and bus fares which also always go up around January are missing. Yet David Cameron does not lift a finger to stop it.

The AA official figure shows that motorist handed over £2billion in fuel duty to the Treasury.  This is for one month alone. The increase of petrol sale generated in June a £929million. In spite of that petrol prices are rising again, on the quite.  Diesel also contributed £929million of fuel duty last month.

It is a disgrace to find out that the motorist has to pay almost 40pc on the price of petrol and with added VAT it comes to 60pc per litre. Surely that must be highest priced petrol in Europe if not in the world.
The fuel duty increased from 45.82p per litre in 2001 to 57.95 as of today.

Under pressure from the newspaper The Sun and its campaign “Keep It Down” the Chancellor George Osborne frozen the duty for the last two years. Since it is the last two years would my suspicion be wrong to think that it could be in the next budget in September?

It wasn’t so long ago that prices reach a £140.9 and the Transport Union of the haulage drivers threatened with strike. The Petrol Tanker Drivers promised they would join and back them up. This would have meant that every major road exit would have been blocked and the country would have been at a standstill. Even David Cameron and George Osbourne could not effort it and the prices went down to £130.9.

However, ever since prices started to increase again on the quiet. At the moment they are at 137.9 already. Will this Government ever learn?  Every one can see their method and it is no madness. They let it go up slowly and when they have to face the consequence of a possible strike they bring it down again but in the meantime they have million of pounds in their pocket. It is a cat and mouse game but of course to the cost of the motorists.

LIVING ON MINIMUM WAGES

Reducing wages and increased prices made workers coping with the lowest level of spending for nine years.

Although every politician blood pressure goes up when they hear about statistics and Unions’ statement but the politicians should learn that there is always some truth and facts in it.

The Office for National Statistics revealed that the average Britain has £3,640 left after taxes in the first three months of this year. According to their find it reduces down to the level last seen in 2003.

People definitely have cut back on their spending but the income was still reduced further. It is thought it is five times faster than the reduced spending .

Food prices when the Coalition came into power rose almost 50 per cent straight away and nothing was said and done. At the moment the food prices rise on a 3.1 per cent but this is not the point because rose already sky high.

The union Unite stated that three-quarter of people earn less than a year ago. Therefore People’s money runs out by 21st of each month. It was found that 30 per cent of people cutting back on food to make ends meet.

NOW THIS IS SURELY UNACCEPTABLE ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PRIME MINISTER SPENDS BILLIONS OF POUNDS ON EU, AIDS AND WARS WHICH HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH BRITAIN.

This is not meant as a vendetta against the Conservatives the Labour is not perfect but an awful lot better and  if they were would have been voted in the UK would not have to struggle like that. Anybody knows that cutting back do not work. As this report show above the family cut back on food and clothing which then backlashes on the retail market and show losses which they did in the last quarters. Shops close because trading dropped. The retail market then reflect on manufacturers. It is a never ending vicious circle. To repeat again cutting back does not work. It is even realised by other countries and they start slowly but definitely to pick up.

Unite general secretary Len McCluskey said: “Ordinary men and women working two jobs to get by and they and their families are being hammered twice. Once for the bankers blowout and then again by cuts to services that sustain our communities.

“Over and over again this government is trampling all over the ordinary people and squashing their hope.  WE need to say an emphatic – NO. – this is not what we voted for.”

Unite is urging people to join the TUC march against the government cuts in London on October 20.

MP Chris Leslie, Labour’s Shadow Treasury minister said: “Millionaires will soon get a tax cut but millions on middle and low income are paying more because of the rise in VAT and cuts in tax credits.”

This last statement really shows the callousness of the Coalition. Mind you the Conservatives behaved just the same towards ordinary people when they were in power the last time. They destroyed most of the major industries which were the pride and envy of the world.

It was most surprising that they got in again even though they just scraped in. It was still surprising after all they done to the ordinary people previously. Hopefully the voters have learned this time their lesson.

JOBLESS PEOPLE GOT BAD TREATMENT -- Updated 20 June, 2014

UPDATED:  20 June 2014 -  it would be interesting to find out how many jobless people did get a job after they volunteered during the Olympics?

Dozens of people were willing and volunteered as unpaid stewards for the river pageant on Sunday. They were hoping this would lead up to a paid job at the Olympics.

Their coaches came arriving two hours earlier than expected. It was a dreadful weather on Sunday. Cold, windy and raining. The volunteers had no other choice but to bed down under the bridges.

The ex-Deputy PM Lord Prescott pointed out that the treatment of the volunteers is “totally unacceptable” He stated further:”I am deeply concerned that a private security firm is not only providing policing on the cheap but show duty and care to its staff.” He demanded further, from Home Secretary Theresa May to find out if it broke security industry rules.

One steward said:”It was cold and wet and we were told to get our heads down.”
This is an absolute disgrace.

The security firm Close Protection UK admitted to the blunder and apologised to them forced to wait. They, however, had the nerve to state: “We are not in the business of exploiting anyone.”

Now how about that statement. There will be very few people who buy it.

Lord Prescott won’t it rest at that. He demanded an inquiry. Gail Cartmail, of the union Unite, said: “They were just damped there in London. Taking advantage of people's desperation to find work is despicable. There needs to be an investigation to ensure there is no repeat of this during the Olympics.”

However, Lord Prescott is known to follow things through and this time the Home Secretary Theresa May won’t get off the hook until he has a satisfactorily answer and put it right for the people.

It is a shame that such beautiful river pageant had to be marred by greed again.
