SERCO AND G4S EARNED £700MILLION TAXPAYERS MONEY

A junior civil servant first discovered that there were serious discrepancies in their accounts but it was dismissed at that time, a few years ago.

Serco used to be the biggest company the public never heard off. The first time it came to public attention when it signed a contract to safeguard the 2012 London Olympic.  Ten days before the Opening Ceremony Serco admitted that it could not handle it because it has not got the staff.A whistle-blower also stated that the security checks on employed staff was was very bad. This was at a time when London and the Olympics were on high alert from terrorism attacks. Their contracts should have been cancelled there and then.

PM David Cameron saved his neck by deploying police which he severely cut back and Army whose leave was cancelled coming back from fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. After that he axed police and Army forces by the thousands as a thank you present.

With lots of mismanagement and swindles it now faces bankruptcy. Serco have made a fortune off the government for decades from its privatisation programme.

The question is now can Churchill’s grandson, Rubert Soames, head of Serco, save it and why should it be saved?

As always and first of all the Tory Government must have been aware since the swindles even made headlines years ago and still let them carry on.

Again the already cash strapped public gets charged with £700million (privatisation suppose to be saving) while the Welfare gets cut first with austerity and now £12billion on top of it.

The paperwork they give the contractors show a lot of complications. It can extending into a huge pile of does and don’t even for the simplest task. The government civil service laid down explicitly in great details contractors supposed to do. It often goes into hundreds of pages with phrases as KPI (key performance indication) and SLA (Service Level Agreement).  The papers are kept secret from the customer – us the public. When they are signed it is seldom that they are looked at it again.

Serco tagging contract were discovered in 2013 for charges of people who were dead, in prison or names never been found.

Serco expanded world wide and in a fast rate that the British Government was only a quarter of its global earnings.

Serco also made fraudulent charges on its contract for transporting prisoners to and from the courts. It also hit the headline several times because of the number of prisoners escaped.

Serco has a great number of subsidiaries.  Rentokil for cleaning  contracts ; G4S for securities; Capita for IT;  private financed hospitals; prisons; military facilities;  local education authorities; immigration contracts including YARL’s Wood  immigration centre.  As you can see Serco applied for every contract where privatisation was made and the Government gave it every time.

Rubert Soames, grandson of Winston Churchill, took over Serco and one month after went to Margaret Hodge, chair of the House of Commons public account committee,  which is parliamentary main watchdog over £120billion outscoring industry.

She said: “He said he was going to turn it all around. All the gossip to me was that he was going to go bust.”

There we are, the public, have another account of Government wasting taxpayers’ money. It joins an almost endless list of wasting money. Yet they have the thick nerve of demanding, and they get it despite of House of Lords turned it down, of £12billion Welfare cuts plus £16billion council cuts.

EU PLANS TO PAY MIGRANTS MOVING TO BRITAIN

After the disastrous ruling of the fishery industry where fisherman have to throw almost a third of dead fish overboard because it is over their quota and growing fruit all the same size which needs more chemical spray on it to achieve it plus to grow bananas straight it leaves us wonder about sense of the EU. Now we hear they are working on a new plan whereby jobless people get send to Britain with an incentive of a £1,000. They also could get travel expenses. They also would be paid £250 to help them to be interviewed and £830 for re-location cost.

Is that what Britain gets for its £19billion membership? plus all sorts of other payments.

Surely, it is on the top all their previous brainless rulings and decision. From a start Britain has 2.5million unemployed and amongst them over a one million youngsters who don’t seem to have a chance.  Brussels explanation for this hare brain scheme is that the tax-payers-funded scheme would give thousands of youngsters to move to Britain to seek employment and British youngster could use the scheme to move to the EU to work.

WHERE  IS  THE  SENSE  IN THAT?  Also people will be using the scheme to get money fraudulent.

The scheme is for job seekers age 18 to 30 and will be match with suitable vacancies.

The start has been made in Spain where youth unemployment is over 50 per cent. It will be extended to Germany, Denmark and Italy and eventually across the EU. Their Target is to help 5,000 people gain jobs through the EU scheme.

The statistic shows that tens of thousands of migrant have forced out British worker out of work. Prime Minister David Cameron wants Brussels to re-write the rules that allow Europeans to take jobs in Britain. When Mr Cameron visited two factories in recent weeks he found out that 50 to 60 per cent were people from the EU countries.

Tim Aker who is part of the ‘Get Britain out of the EU’ campaign stated that unemployment caused by the EU should be solved by the EU and not sends to Britain to force British people out of a job.

REMEMBER BANKERS' SCANDAL - UPDATE 2 March, 2015

UPDATED:  2 March, 2015 -  Now looking back none of the executives were prosecuted on the contrary, Mr Diamond received a very golden handshake of several millions of pounds.  Most probably all the others did too.

The sky high salaries plus millions of pounds of bonuses still goes on.

The Tories are still in this all together.  At the moment, with the General Election only two months away, their promises are raining down like a monsoon. The last lot of promises were never kept and neither will those, in my opinion.

For years these boys did nothing but cleaning up. David Cameron in his last election manifesto promised to stop these sky high and ridiculous bonuses after already received over a million pound salary. However, after the election nothing was ever said and done. Then the public became angry in 2010 and they were promised March 2011 a new law will be issued against such payments. March 2011 came and went and nothing.

In the meantime a group of young people organised themselves and called themselves OCCUPY. To draw attention to themselves they put up tents in front of St Paul’s Cathedral and stayed during a bitter cold winter. David Cameron dried to move them through the power of the Church but the Church refused. In other words they agreed with Occupy.

David Cameron and his friends slowly looked a bit high and try and to save their pride had to do something. Instead of putting a law through to stop these bonuses which were always excused as it takes time to put it through. They put through a court and it went very quickly through for Occupy to vacate the location. Now there you have a contradiction.

The country faced a double-tip recession but the sky high salaries and bonuses were always there and paid. We are not talking about a few thousands but millions.

Last year £70billion were injected into the banks to encourage the economy. It supposed to be there for companies and small businesses to get another loan to encourage their production. First of all the government does not seem to be aware when the economy is down very few businessmen would increase their overdraft or loans. Secondly, it came to light, that the few asking were turned down. May we ask the question what happened to the £70billion given to banks?

In view of all that the Chancellor George Osborne authorised a few weeks ago to inject £140billion into the economy. Soon the News came that a most unprecedented move from the Bank of England Sir Melwyn King gave a very contemning speech about the bankers.

Apart from that there must have been further action in the background because all of a sudden a scandal broke lose about Inter rates fixing. The chief executive of Barclays Bob Diamond was accused and had to resigned plus was another 14 others. Other banks Lloyds, HSBC and RSB were also involved and will under investigation.

The Serious Fraud Squad is now involved and stated that they could face serious criminal charges. Furthermore, the FBI in the USA is also involved and will request the 15 traders to attend their investigation.

David Cameron commented last week that there will be no investigation as requested by the Labour Party. It seems now that the matter was taken out of his hands by the Serious Fraud Squad. However, will the Justice Department secretary Ken Clarke stand up to them? If ever the saying of David Cameron came true “We are all in this together” it is now. These traders were all close friends to David Cameron and his government and some of them great donors to the Conservative Party.

The Bank of England and its banking system were greatly respected throughout the world and the pride of Britain. Ever since Margaret Thatcher de-regulated it, it went quietly down hill and now hits rock bottom. The only thing which has to be done is to put all and every one of them of these rogue traders into prison and it would clear up the mess. Recuperating as much money as possible what they pocketed. That would give the banks back their respect for the people and the world to belief in it again.

The country relies on banks and City finances and going back to the old system, regulating the banks, will also stabilize the economy.

Hopefully, David Cameron and Ken Clarke are not becoming weak kneed again and for once stand up for Britain and its people as they always promising and talking about. This is now a great turning point.
