HARD-UP FAMILIES FORCED TO SHOPLIFT FOOD

Britain’s top police officers claim that families are now so hard up they are forced to shoplift meat and cheese just to put food on the table to survive.  These people are not criminals and most of them have no previous conviction but they steal mainly food like meat and cheese. The police officers also state that they don’t do it to sell.

The Lancashire Chief Constable Steve Finnigan can also see that the situation will worsen.

Food banks also stating that people have reached crisis point.

It is an absolute disgrace for the government to bring its people down to such a state. It seems like the Victorian age returns but it is the 21^st century and Britain is the seventh riches country in the world.  Yet the Chancellor George Osborne still plans to have more cuts in his next budgets.   It is not a question of any money being available because the MPs had a rise of £7,500 multiply by over 500 MPs. The very cost of the food and drinks is around £7million a year which the MPs and Lords could easily effort paying.  The MPs’ salaries are now around £72,000 per year plus free lunch, dinner and drinks plus all expenses being paid by the taxpayers.  That is were the cuts should be made and they wouldn’t even miss it.

The Lords, with almost 800 members, getting £300 a day when they attend the House of Parliament, free lunch and dinner and drinks.

The endless golden handshakes we read about to executive’s jobs and most of them cause nothing but ruin to their government department, chief executive of companies and NHS. A fine example is the chief executives of the two NHS hospitals which had around 1,500 deaths each due to negligence.  How can a Government agree to that? Especially with the NHS being financially hard-up and 5,000 nurses were axed.

The contribution to the EU of at least £20billion which the people demanding a referendum of IN/OUT but Mr Cameron flatly refuse. This money alone would not only bring the deficit down but also put food on the table.  The Foreign Aid which never reaches the poor of the countries but the pocket of the governments in those countries. People again demand to cut it down because of the fraud but Mr Cameron will not do so.  There is a long list of money going in the wrong direction and at the moment is a complete mismanagement.
 

The Government and Chancellor George Osborne got on their brain is cut back and cut backs. During the three years of the Government and their austerity it did not bring down the deficit on the contrary it increases constantly.  In spite of all Mr Osborne will again make cut backs in the next budget which will be in the following weeks.  He will not CUT BACK the absolute waste of money for a luxurious train HS2 which by now is estimated £60billion and by the time it is finished will be at least £100billion.  Money for such a white elephant is available. It would bring down the debts.

Huge amount of sums are also available for entering another conflict – Syria. Mr Cameron was ready to go with the USA if the MPs had not voted against it even so he still is willing to go ahead and waste another billions of pounds which the country can ill afford it.

Having said all this will the Government not has so much decency and compassion for its own people to ease their burdens and spend all that apparently easily available money on them.  For people being so desperate having to steal food or go to food banks should never have happened again after the Victorian times. Surely Messrs Cameron and Osborne must know what is going on.  Not to speak of that these people are the voters who got them into power and they spit in their faces.  DESPICABLE.

ATOS, SERCO, G4S CAMERON'S FAILED CONTRACTORS -- Updated 4 Jan., 2018

Update 4 Jan., 2018 -- Despite all the scandal May plans to give power to Serco and G4S to be able to arrest people. It also means privatisation of the police. Serco and G4S are known for very bad check-ups on people's background they employ!!! So you will never know what kind of person it is arresting you, throw in jail, which could have a devastating effect on your life, job and family.

UPDATE: 22 May, 2015 --  G4S is in the headlines again because the children held in prison run by G4S received "degrading treatment" and "racial abuse". Ofsted's report gave Rainsbrook, Secure Training Centre, Northamptonshire, the lowest possible rating and being investigated by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman. 

What did they do all this time. One boy even died. It will be another headline today and a whitewash in the inquiry and G4S will receive another contract tomorrow. 

In my opinion many Cameron's contractors have committed fraud and failures in their contracts but Cameron will not cancel one of them.

UPDATE:  24 June, 2014  --  A new report stated that ATOS has a backlog of around 500,000  investigations. Another fine mess we have here and for that the PM  David Cameron paid £1billion  Money which is desperately needed in many places.  Well done David Cameron.

UPDATE: 12 June, 2014 --- It was reported that 700,000 people lost their disability benefit due to ATOS and have now to fight for it to get it back. In the meantime, what does ATOS and Government think they live on? Furthermore, it cost money to fight a case which should be rightly yours. Before there was Legal Aid but now even that is cut. This is a crime what these fatcats cold-bloodily doing. They got no morals, principles or responsibilities towards the people who elected them.
  

UPDATE:  30 December, 2013 -- A new report revealed that a young man who was blind had his Disability Benefit withdrawn by ATOS and told to get a job. That was the last straw for him and hanged himself. Well done ATOS and the Government which paid £1billion to employ this French company to assess them to cut the Disability Benefit. You should be proud of yourselves to be the cause of over 1,000 deaths. How many more have to die before you close this despicable agency down.  Then there will be another millions of pound for Golden Handshakes paid out. A great way of saving money. The Universal Credit Reform is the Government's greatest mess there ever was and it cost millions of pounds but most of all lives.

There were numerous reports about these companies failing in their work according to their contracts but nothing has been done about it. Several of my blogs have tried to high light their irresponsibility as reported in newspapers. SERCO adding data to medical records in the NHS to meet the required number of appointments demanded by the government which is nothing but fraud.

As previously, at the beginning, ATOS was accused of causing around 1,000 deaths. Admittedly some might have died anyway but the majority of the 1,000 deaths cannot be explained as they might have died anyway. These people have died of worries which deteriorated their health even further or maybe some even committed suicide. The government would deny the fact that they would be responsible for their death but they can't deny that most of them did die because of the wrong assessment by ATOS and their benefit was cut. What does the Government think they will be living on?

ATOS is a French company contracted by the Government for about £1billion. There are responsible to check out disabled people whether they are really entitled to their Disability Benefit. So far so good but now comes in the most unfair and devastating act in their decision. The Government and that includes the leader of the Coalition David Cameron demanded to pass only one in eight claimants of disability benefit. This is an impossible task. These people have been on Disability Benefits because the majority cannot work which gave them the entitlement.  At the same time the Government made the most controversial decision to close factories Remploy where disabled people could find some jobs. Does it make any sense?

Only very recently a scandal was reported in the newspapers that ATOS told long-term or fatal illness sufferers like Parkinson, MS, CF and others they will be better in three months time and therefore able to work.  To be sure they were never so insulted in their lives.  These statements are absolute lunacy since the whole medical world trying to find the causes of these illnesses and cures, so far to no avail. So how can ATOS have the nerve to throw this rubbish in their faces?  Aren’t they already suffering enough? Especially David Cameron should know better from personal experiences and interfere to stop these absolute insulting, hurtful statements.

Furthermore, has to be mentioned, that Britain has up to five million unemployment although the Government plays it down all the time but National Office of Statistic announced a 4.9million. It means, let us spell it out for the Government to understand, that healthy people can’t get a job and to spent £1billion on ATOS to force disabled and long term ill people back to work is not only irresponsible but sheer lunacy.

At the beginning of this blog we spoke of around 1,000 deaths when ATOS first started its devastating work. Now, there is a video on YouTube which tells of more than 10,000.  Whether the high number of deaths is disputable or not but it pound to have increased greatly over the years ATOS done its dirty work, advised by the Government.  How does David Cameron and his Government feel about having cause deaths, no matter what the number is, by cutting off Disability Benefits to very ill people? 

If they deny they were the cause and people would have died because of their disability then how about people committing suicide, and this time there is not doubt about it, because they are in debt on account of the Bedroom Tax and facing eviction.  It is not as many as the deaths of disabled people but nevertheless every suicide was caused by the Government and Prime Minister David Cameron. Or does that not count either?

The Spare Bedroom Tax is nothing but a trap. The Government knew the people have no chance of moving into a smaller property because there aren’t any. Therefore is either pay or sink.

David Cameron voted down the suggestion made by LibDem leader Nick Clegg, his coalition partner, which was a Mansion Tax.  It would have hit the rich who wouldn’t have even missed the thousands of pounds and also locked them in into paying tax instead of transferring their profits into tax havens. 

These facts give us all the picture of this Government and their attitude towards their friends and ordinary people.

FLAGSHIP UNIVERSAL CREDIT SHOULD BE SCUTTLED updated 18 August, 2017

Updated 18 August, 2017 --   Four years later and it is still not working but cost a fortune more then it was promised to save. PM May added a further £12bn Welfare cuts on 1 April, 2017. The impact on already starving, homeless people will be devastating and has not come fully into effect. There will be mass deaths and suicides. 

The great reform heralded for months by the Coalition in which the claimants will be receiving all the claims in just one payment was the Government great flagship and put into force on 1 April 2013. It was to be a great saving for the Department of Works and Pension, head Ian Duncan Smith. He also announced, at the same time, that the new system would show people that it is better to work than claim benefit. This fact emphasises that the claim will be cut so low people could not live on it. Mr Smith and the Government do not seem to realise or accept the fact that with almost FIVE million unemployed there is no work available. Officially 2.5 million unemployed.

As of today after almost six months the Universal Credit is in chaos.  An IT system which should have been in use to work out exactly what each claimant suppose to receive is unusable according to the National Audit Office and instead of saving the whole exercise cost the taxpayers million. They still insist that it will be fully functional by 2017 and will save £38million by 2014. These facts were all worked out and all without IT.  Marvellous.

In the first six months so far £1.3 million had been spent on 112 extra staff. It should have been explained by Mr Smith why these extra staff had to be employed since the previous staffs were able to cope.

£34millions was swallowed up in bungles and wasted money on the unusable IT system.

To crown it all Ian Duncan Smith paid his staff and most probably himself the most a bonus for this shabby work of no less than £44million. Does the Government ever step in to stop spending taxpayers‘ money?  Obviously not.

While all this wastages of taxpayers’ money goes on the Chancellor George Osborne is announcing of another Budget, which will be at the end of September 2013, with significant cuts. Cuts which will not be in that direction but for the general public.

The Department of Works and Pension spent £44million on staff bonuses but it in total chaos.  £1.3million on extra staff because they can’t get the IT system going to handle the Universal Credit reform probable organised.

Another flagship of David Cameron is ATOS who got a £1billion contract and tells people with incurable illnesses they should be able well enough to work in three months time. Even the medical world can’t find a cure for Parkinson, MS and CF which are all deteriorating illnesses but ATOS can forecast an improvement within three months good enough for them to be able to work again. How must these people feel, suffering and knowing the final outcome of their illnesses being told such rubbish and their Disability benefit cut?

The newly established NHS Healthcare 111 which suppose to take calls from the public and decide whether they are a hospital case or could be advised to take some medicine; can’t handle most of the calls because most of them are not medical trained and the system is braking down. This is again a waste of taxpayers’ money for setting it up and trying to keep it going.

The Border Agency, Serco, G4S and so many more the list could go on are nothing but a waste of money and the Coalition does nothing about it. All these scandals had been known for far too long and newspapers pointed them out a number of times.

The MPs themselves had a pay rise of £7,500 per year at the time of the great AUSTERITY and were not satisfied about that but demand now to receive a £20,000 for their expenses but without having to justify them.  In Saturday’s newspaper in the Daily Mirror a big list was printed showing all the employed wives, husband, daughters and step-daughter with £15,000 for part time and up to £35,000 for full time with recently salary increases.  A shame the public can’t check out how much work they really do. Talking about spitting the hard-up public not into their eyes but into their faces.

Chancellor George Osborne and the Coalition seemed to apply AUSTERITY only to one side of the British people. It would be high time he also put on the brakes on his friends and all these newly established companies plus handing out contracts which waste nothing but taxpayers' money.  It would do miracles to his deficit. Furthermore, when is David Cameron bringing the Tax avoiders to justice as he keep promising times and again? His own father-in-law, a very rich man with a big estate in the Highland of Scotland has an off-shore account which proves how sincere David Cameron’s promises are.  

ZERO HOURS CONTRACTS HUMILIATE WORKERS

This is without a doubt one of the last dirty trick from the Government handing out Zero Hours Contracts to downgrade workers.  The humiliation these hard-up workers must feel is unimaginable.

By now there are one million workers on Zero Hours Contracts. They get forced into it to reduce the unemployment figure.

Workers who are on the Zero Hours Contracts said that quite a number of times they get calls and when they get there, there is no work. There must be a method of this madness. Is it just for the books and there is some claim for the fatcats?

Would the Government hand out these contracts to its MPs or contractors? Certainly not.  To spit more into the workers’ faces the MPsi received at a time of Austerity a pay rise of £7,500 and demand a package of £20,000 for expenses without having to prove them.

The Zero Hours Contracts stands for the employers only call the workers when needed and they get paid the hours they worked. It also does not include any right of employment; in other words the employee can be hired or fired at will. It also affects their pension and NHS. This is a most negative move from the Government since the bills, food and clothing have still to be paid if they were working or not; especially the hugely increased energy suppliers’ bills. In the three years since the Coalition is in power David Cameron not once stepped on the energy suppliers’ toes and forced them to reduce the bills, nor on petrol which is not a luxury any more but a necessity.

The suspicion arises that there is more to this Zero Hours Contracts then meets the eye. Is it not also a method to bring the number of unemployment down? A method is hypocritically and slyly to boost their records. It is also amazing the sudden so-called improvement in the economy of which experts continuous to dispute and the sudden drop of unemployment.  The effort of reducing unemployment by any means could have been sparked off by the statement of the head of the Bank of England, Mark Carney. He stated that he would not increase the interest charges provided the unemployment would drop below 7 per cent.  It must have shaken the Chancellor George Osborne and provoked him to reduce the unemployment by any means there is available. No sooner that statement was given the Zero Hours Contracts appeared. Increase in interest rates would increase the interest rates on savings.

Since the Labour Party and TUC are united again after the rather disastrous accusation of fixing a vote on the Falkirk constituency Ed Miliband must have learned his lesson and will go full steam ahead. One of the issues which are on the top of the agenda is the Zero Hours Contracts. He will object to this shameful misuse of the working force by the big companies and corporation for more profit.  This time it is not the little shop in the back street who tries to get their work done on a low rate but these contracts open the back door for the majority of workers to be exploited by the big and very big organisation.

It must have been hard work for David Cameron and George Osborne to figure this idea out how to grind workers even deeper into the ground and humiliate them more.  However, Ed Miliband and the Union which is always hated by the Government will put a stop to any exploitation. The very drummed-up Austerity which is so obviously only on one side could provide a breeding ground for the next General Election in which the Labour Party objects on various points put onto their hard-working Britons who need a Labour Government.

ATOS NOW MAXIMUS SENDS INCURABLE SICK PEOPLE TO WORK -- Updated 23 June, 2015

Instead of paying his disabled people the rightful benefit; Cameron pays ATOS and MAXIMUS millions of pounds.
Plus Ian Duncan Smith pays £44million bonuses out.

What kind of politics are these?  2,400 disabled people died or committed suicide.

Over three million people are expelled from receiving benefits. Surprise, surprise their unemployment figures are down.

MAXIMUS took over from Atos but nothing has changed.  Already the first reports coming out that a man who has MS and can not speak, walk and feed himself had been asked twice to attend an interview at his local job centre otherwise his benefits get cut. The rule is, if you do not attend the interview your disability benefit gets stopped.

The Government must have paid another big sum to Maximus and wasted taxpayers money.

UPDATE:  26 November, 2014 --                                                                                                   ATOS finally lost its contract but is replaced by Maximus; an  American Company which had already been in court in America for fraud and bad management of disabled people's account.

To hire a company like that with such n reputation to replace ATOS to deal with ill and disabled people is another disgrace and disrespect to disabled people for tor Government. 

People with devastating life-long illnesses were told by ATOS if they want to get better to go out and get a job. This shocking result emerged from a research by leading charities.

This Government is really going beyond any reason with almost FIVE million unemployed, most of them healthy but can’t get a job. No, Mr Cameron they are not scroungers just in case you trying to pull yourself out of it with that flat story. Also no disputing the figure of 4.9 million unemployed because it came from the Office of National Statistics.

Instead of paying ATOS  £1billion which does the Work Capability Assessment and they telling people to go to work despite of a lifelong or life-threatening illnesses is another of the Government failure. Anyone in their right mind would suggest investing £1billion into the economy to provide jobs. The general public is absolutely stunned by what goes on in Parliament.

Research held by Parkinson’s UK, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the MS Society and the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society resulted in 45 per cent were told they would be able to recover to the stage where they are able to work again. How dare they suggest this?  It is absolutely ludicrous when doctors haven’t got a cure and scientists are still looking for it.

A fine example Jim, 58 from the North Pennines said: “It was six years after they diagnosed with Parkinson that I was finally forced to give up work. Please mark the wording “finally forced to give up work”.

“After the first ESA assessment they said I should be able to work within three months I was flabbergasted.

“Last year I applied for ESA again as my Parkinson had got worse.

“I was told I should be able to return to work in 18 months. I asked to be reassessed but the DWP refused. “This is so stupid and insulting. Anyone knows that these diseases are progressing and not getting better. 

Of course, all this lunacy suit the Government but it must be so hurtful to long-term and life-threatening ill people. Is there no humanity any more in this Government?

No, the DWP rather spends £1.3 money on extra staff because they didn’t manage to get computer system going for Cameron’s flagship to reform the system began on 1 April and still not working.

An incredible and irresponsible £44million bonuses for DWB staff.  Staff which is so incompetent; when  their whole system is in a mess.  It is an insult Jim and all disabled people. 

It is a crime to cut Disability Benefit and spent the money on extra staff because they can’t get the computer system started and especially £44million bonuses paid to staff. How dare this Government treat the people like that?

Caroline Hacker, of Parkinson UK, said: “This is the latest in a line of unspeakable failures by ATOS Healthcare and the Government to support those who need it most.  To tell people who have to give up work because of debilitating progressive condition that they’ll recover are farcical and defies belief.” She adds further: “There is strong evidents working can be beneficial for many people who have health condition.” 

We don’t dispute that but only in some cases and only to some extent. The main problem is for those few who can and like to carry on that there nearly five million healthy people unemployed so how can people with Parkinson, Cystic Fibrosis, MS and Rheumatoid Arthritis get a job?

Who are these people in ATOS and Government to tell they are getting better when the whole Medical World is fighting and struggling to find a cure? They all talk rubbish so that they can put ‘refused’ on the paper and that ATOS will be kept in the good books of the Government.

ATOS is another of David Cameron’s flagship and costs a fortune which could have been spent on Disability Allowances. It is known that they were told by the Government they should refuse seven out of eight.

Already there were over a thousand death recorded from worries which escalated their bad state of health. 

ATOS is not worried about that because they done their job and get a fat salary. What is happening now, it backfires on the Government? People take legal aid and go to court.  When they get their Disability Benefits reinstated they have back pay. 

So when David Cameron struts about like a peacock and feels he cut down the welfare at the end it will cost him more because of all the extra cost. 

This disgraceful Government not only cut the Disability Benefit, paid ATOS a French firm a £1billion to force people back to work but they also closed REMPLOY factories where disabled people could find a job.

It leaves anyone gasping and asks what are they doing?

FRAUD AT SERCO -- Updated 30 April 2015

A £285million contract and we have not heard anything about the fraud of Serco. No cancellation, no court  case and no conviction. That Cameron and his disciple have a lot to answer for but will they?

 Serco is a security company or supposed 

to be and yet they are accused of committing

one crime after crime.  They are not the

only contractors in trouble either by alleged  

fraud or not able to give the full service.  

It is amazing the Prime Minister 

David Cameron first of all employed them 

to break up the NHS and secondly has 

not cancelled their contract. 

It is nothing but wasting taxpayers' money.

Serco the security firm had been accused of fraud again. A few months ago they were caught adding data in the NHS to make up the target demanded by the government ensuring the payments. Now again a discrepancy was found defrauding the taxpayers million of pounds.

Minister accused Serco to fiddle performance figures. They tried to prove that prisoners arrived at courts on time when they did not.

A £285million contract which covers London and East Anglia is now under supervision, the Government stated.  

Justice Secretary Chris Grayling said: “It’s become very clear there has been a culture within parts of Serco that had been totally unacceptable, and actions which need to be investigated by the police.”

Chris Hyman, chief executive of Serco Group, said: “The Justice Secretary is right to expect high standards of performance from Serco.

“I am deeply saddened and appalled at the misreporting of data by a small number of employers on the contract. This is a very serious matter for the customer and for us. We will not tolerate any wrongdoing and that is why we have referred this matter to the police.”

"It is part of the contract that prisoners are at court on time. Serco offered to pay back all profit on the contract and refuse to make future profits."

This scenario is not the first time. As already mentioned it happens already on their contract with NHS that they added data.  Therefore all those brave words of the chief executive Chris Hyman's words don’t ring that entire true.  Also Serco has a record of prisoners escaping while in transit to the court.

What is most surprising about Serco and a number of other private companies where Prime Minister David Cameron handed out contracts of huge amount claiming it would safe the taxpayer’s money most of the time is turns out a disaster. By now there is a whole string of it and it cost the taxpayers a fortune but in spite of it all Cameron  does not admit it and stop, he just merrily plough on. After all it is not his money and he will not be out of pocket.

The is Serco for the second time found out defrauding the taxpayers and according to ministers million s of pounds therefore it is not a small number employers as stated by the chief executive.

Border Agency was so far the worst. For years newspapers were screaming their heads off that they are not doing their job and the unresolved cases of immigrants were billing up and eventually reach an unbelievable 500,000 when the government woke up and closed the Border agency.  You bet all the top executives got a golden handshake on top of being useless.

G4S another security company and supposed the biggest in the world took the contract for the Olympics 2012 and 10 days before the Opening Ceremony they admitted that they can’t cope because they haven’t got the required 10,000 staff to cover it. Just before David Cameron sacked police officers and military personal. Then when he was stuck with his useless G4S the police and military were called in and good enough to cover it. Never a praise was uttered in his speech how efficient they were.

G4S was also caught out to fiddle the books with contract for tacking ex-prisoner on probation. They added names of ex-prisoners who never were in prison, dead, in prison or abroad.

Other agencies which had a big contract in NHS sent Confidential papers to private companies or one had their Data stolen.

All not very recommendable for honest, correct and good work carried out.   David Cameron considers again G4S for another big contract. Unbelievable.
